Hi, I’m Rowan, and this is my Huamang YS3M Maglev BC. This cube is my backup cube, and it’s smooth, blocky, controllable, and has heavy turning. My main cube is the Tornado V3 Flagship currently (as of 12/31/23), but I have put so many lubes in it that I cannot remember all of them.

This YS3M is tailored to the turning style that I have. It is meant for those who like to turn a little on the harsher side (more aggressively) and like to have a firmer grip on their cube. The compressions and tensions are set up in a way that is loose enough to have decent corner-cutting, but tight enough to not pop too much. It also has snappy large corner cuts, but nice smooth smaller ones. The lubricants that this cube is set up with give the cube a  controllable feeling, while not being too sluggish. Additionally, Lubicle 1 is rubbed on the outside of the cube to sand down the frosted finish and give the cube a softer outer plastic feeling (SEE NOTE 4).

Keep in mind that this cube isn’t for everyone. If you like to turn lightly, or prefer a lighter cube, then this may not be the right fit for you. (For lighter turning styles, click here for Robert’s GAN12 Maglev UV)

The original cube is made by HuaMeng (a sub-brand of MoYu). This is a professionally set up version of the HuaMeng YS3M Maglev BallCore (non-UV), an exact copy of the cube that Rowan uses as a backup. It has a custom opaque logo on the white center cap (designed by Rowan).

• Axis Distance: Half-turn looser than stock
• Maglev Tension: 2
• Lubricants: DNM37, Max Command, Max Fleet, Lubicle 1 (on the outside)

May require break-in (10-20 solves) for maximum performance.
